We have a long history as not only being a dental laboratory providing first class dental ceramics, but also a long history in being an international provider of education which included extensive lecturing and associations to ceramic material development. This website offers an insight to our dedication, longstanding presence in dental technology which is now back focussed in the USA and focussed in Las Vegas developing digital AOX configurations and a wide variety of ceramic restorations which we aim to make undetectable and geometrically functional.

PROFESSIONAL REFERENCES WE HAVE GAINED FROM 1996 to 2026

Now at last the introduction video to OCCLUDY is now being composited this year 2026 but work on this project remains slow as we have setup a laboratory in Las Vegas. The image above is the result of CUMA made possible by Collective Understanding and Mutual Aid - Joint lectures between myself and Dr D. Karateew DDS / Vancouver 2005.

SHADE TAKING (HCI)

In 2007 while running our laboratory in Fort Mohave, AZ, I began the development of Color-Mapping to solve the endless difficulties of trying to communicate shade taking information over distance which became a huge issue working in the United States. Based on the light science study I made in 1998 to 2005 to evaluate mean daylight and the UV component light, a lot of information related to seasons was collected from the border of Norway down to almost the Equator across a period of two years. This included, time of day, seasons, location and the measurement of the energy of daylight as well (Ev). This study confirmed my thinking shade matching was impossible to communicate accurately as daylight changes by the hour as does the reflectivity of the environment also. The conclusion I came to was light differentials related mainly to latitude and the surroundings which all needed to be included which pointed to a new direction being required.

Today Color-Mapping is now called HCI (Hidden Color Information) which is now a stable solution that has developed into what the Camera saw, not what we are seeing. Raw images can capture information at 10 bits, a massive amount of color information. Unlike 8 bit (JPEG images) which are of no use as there is too little information within the files. Eight percent of the case images on our website was HCI processed. It borders on being undetectable. We offer this as free a solution with our casework by running a few images taken as RAW files (Canon) and NEF files (Nikon) through adapted software, we are able to find what we need to know and apply this to ceramic layering as natural dentition has a three dimensional element, which stain and glazing does not. So HCI is applicable to classic ceramic layering which we continue to support. Goto our HCI page to see more information.

2015 - BEGAN THE OCCLUDY VIDEO TEACHING PROJECT

OCCLUDY - 2026

OCCLUDY is a concept teaching platform I started to develop in 2015 and has evolved slowly over the past ten years as it is not a simple quick tutorial but a master teaching platform like no other being developed in 4K video format. It is intended to be an open source educational platform to teach dental Geometric Occlusion and Dental Ceramics.

Time has gone by quickly and the past year 2025 has seen thousands of video frames being rendered twenty for hours a day to take us deep into skeletal geometric associations to teach how skeletal geometry is linked to function, aesthetics and directly to a patient geometry. The ceramic techniques simply complete the Aetheric component to recreate a new and restored appearance which is driven by correct occlusion and geometric function. There is no better time than now to do this as digital technology and the association to Smile Design and implant use is defining how dentistry and dental technology is moving rapidly to CNC dental engineering.
